An implementation of quality management system started in the joint stock company in 1996. After certification of quality management system according to ISO 9002:1994 standard being in force at that time in the division of Electric machines the company stepped into unequivocal trend of reaching high quality of its production. In 1998 the company extended the validity of certificate to entire manufacturing program. ŽOS Vrútky a.s. sees natural way how to fulfil its credo in an effort to improve yourself and by this way to contribute to satisfaction and confidence of customers:

The processes of manufacture of new rail vehicles have been included in certified quality management system along with ongoing changes of ISO 9000 standards. ŽOS Vrútky a.s. has ranked among European class of companies even in such preferred field as the environmental protection is. In 2004 ŽOS Vrútky a.s. has confirmed its system approach to improving of its activity by successful certification of environmental management system according to
ISO 14001 European standard. ŽOS Vrútky a.s. has confirmed its progressive character by another successful certification according to worldwide recognized standard of railway industry suppliers IRIS (International Railway Industry Standard).

As early as in October 2008 the company ŽOS Vrútky a.s. has been awarded with certificate according to IRIS standard in two of its scopes – in the scope no. 18. Rolling Stock as the fourth company in the world and in the scope no. 1 Car Body as the eighth company in the world (www.irisrail.org).

Renowned international certification company Det Norske Veritas (DNV) has performed all above mentioned certifications. An indisputable benefit in an increase of company’s credit after certification of above mentioned systemsuniquely determines the way how to get the quality class of its production closer to European standard.
