Machines and equipment impregnation

Impregnation equipment of ŽOS Vrútky a.s. has been projected and put into operation by company MICAFIL AG Zürich, Switzerland according to the requirements of ŽOS Vrútky a.s. The impregnation station is designed as semi-automatic operation, where the impregnation process is controlled by automatic instruments and is under service control in the system of vacuum-pressing impregnation

Impregnation is carried out indenpendent in the thermo-insulating classes “F”, “H” and “C”

ŽOS Vrútky a.s. carries out rotor and stator impregnation for various kind of electric motors, coils of field and commutating poles, coils of traction transformers, distribution transformers and others, choke coils and other electric equipment, eventually materials where the impregnation or varnish hardening of a material is needed, as well as a rotor, transformer and electric equipment re-impregnation where the active part of the equipment (after measuring and moisture removal by drying) is re-impregnated for the purpose of service life prolongation.

An impregnation varnish analysis is provided in company’s laboratory according to STN and IEC Standards with issuing of a testing protocol and also the quality control of coating (including electro-insulating varnish) and its convenience for the application in electrotechnical process. • The diameter of boiler of the class “F” up to 2100 mm, “H” up to 1700 mm and of the class “C” up to 1700 mm, not the number of pieces, is the impregnation limiting factor.

Tests, measurements and electric machines calibration

ŽOS Vrútky a.s. carries out all tests of repaired electric rotary machines after overhaul and also periodical repair according to respective standards and characteristics of individual traction and asynchronous motors.

The following tests are carried out in ŽOS Vrútky a.s.: heating test, commutating test, overspeed test, characteristic measuring, resistance test by applying voltage.

Mechanical running-in of electric rotary machines for the control of vibration pressure and correct bearing idle run is carried out before an actual test.

Rotary bodies balancing

Balancing of rotors of the traction motors, auxiliary motors and other rotary bodies of the weight from 0,5 kg up to 5 tons and up to the max. diameter 2300 mm.

Balancing of unknown rotary bodies depends on production of balancing fixtures and customer information about revolution, weight and allowed residue unbalance.

Repairs of electric rotary machines

ŽOS Vrútky a.s. carries out repairs of electric rotary machines (motors, alternators, DC generators, auxiliary motors and other atypical electric rotary machines) from the simple repairs to the overhaul.

The repair consists of dismantling, cleaning, complete repair with the alternative of rotor rewinding, shaft and bearing shield renovation, shaft repressing, etc.

The tests according to the valid regulations and standards are provided to all repaired machines.

ŽOS Vrútky a.s. after the agreement with the customer provides also repairs of other atypical electric rotary machines, eventually only their impregnation or various kinds of tests in a testing room where also the test protocols are issued. After the mutual agreement with the customer to provide repairs of electric rotary machines of higher voltage up to 10 kV is possible.

All kinds of repairs of traction, low voltage and high voltage transformers of other types and structural designs, from the periodical control up to the overhaul in the following scope:
